How Does Jet Tan Instant Airbrush Tanning System work? Jet Tan Instant Airbrush Tanning gives you a gorgeous, fresh-from-the-beach color in two ways: first with instant bronzer that is visible the moment you apply the product; secondly Jet Tan contains DHA, an ingredient which reacts with the amino acids in your skin to develop a natural-looking tan in about 3 to 4 hours.

What is DHA? DHA solution causes the proteins in the outside layer of your skin to react with the oxygen in the air resulting in a bronzing effect. The best example of this is: take a bite of an apple, when you set it down, the fruit begins to turn brown when exposed to the air. This is similar to the chemical reaction in DHA after an airbrush tanning session. This process allows the DHA to work with your skin’s own tone to create a natural looking tan versus the orange color that is commonly associated with sunless tanning products.

Will Jet Tan provide sun protection? Jet Tan does not contain a sunscreen and will not protect your skin against sunburn. Jet Tan does offer Jet Spray Sun Shield SPF 30, a spray-on SPF which is easy to apply in your Jet Tan tool to protect your skin against sun damage.
Will Jet Tan stain my clothing? Jet Tan Tanning Solution will wash out of most fabrics, but can stain certain fabrics such as silk, nylon or wool. We recommend that you dress in dark, tight fitting under garment, swimsuit, shorts and shirt or disposable garments.
Do I need to exfoliate prior to Jet Tanning? It is recommended that you exfoliate your skin so that you ensure an even tan. Your skin should be free of make-up, deodorants, perfumes, moisturizing products, gels, soaps etc.

How long should I allow for Jet Tan to dry? Allow approximately 5-10 minutes of drying time before getting dressed. Drying time may vary based on how heavily you apply the Jet Tan solution.
Can I use the Jet Tan Airbrush System on my face? It is recommended that you use the Jet Tan Instant Tanner & Bronzer for the Face as the Jet Tan mist is not recommended for use in the eye area.
How often should I reapply Jet Tan? On average, Jet Tan will last 5-7 days with one application. This will vary for each individual. For best results, use twice the first week of application, then once a week to maintain your tan.

Will people know that I have used a Sunless Tanner? Not unless you tell them. Jet Tan is a revolutionary product that with proper application, gives an even, natural-looking tan without any streaking or spotting.
Does Jet Tan have the “odor” of typical Sunless Tanners? Jet Tan was designed with a wonderful “fresh from the beach” pineapple/coconut scent so that you don’t have the typical odor associated with using a self tanner.

How long should I wait before taking a shower? For best results, we recommend you wait 6 hours before showering for the DHA to fully absorb.

Why does the bronzing color come off when I take a shower? The instant bronzer that is visible the moment you apply the product is temporary and will wash off in your shower. The DHA sunless tanner will continue to work with the amino acids in your skin to provide a lasting tan.
I applied the Jet Tanning product in my shower/bath tub, how can I clean the Jet Tan product from my shower? Jet Tan Instant Tanning Solution can be cleaned from bathroom surfaces with ordinary household cleansers. For extra precaution, it is recommended that you place a dark towel or mat beneath your feet prior to airbrush tanning.

I tried to apply Jet Tan Airbrush Tanning, and I have experienced dripping. What am I doing wrong? It is recommended that you hold your Airbrush Tanning Tool approximately 4-6 inches from the skin. Holding the Jet Tanning Tool too close to the skin can cause running or dripping.
I have sensitive skin. Can I use the Jet Tan Airbrush Tanning Tool? If you have sensitive skin, try the Instant Airbrush Tanning Solution on a small area and wait 24 hours before using it with the Airbrush Tanning Tool. If the Instant Tanning Solution test area itches or becomes irritated, do not use on large areas of the skin.
